About Glenn

Why This Work Is Personal

Glenn Smith-Perrot’s path to this work began long before his career did. He grew up in foster care, spent time in a group home, and went on to earn his college and graduate degrees. That journey taught him early how much it matters to have people, systems, and opportunities that help you see what is possible and find your way forward.

It is why he brings care, honesty, cultural awareness, and intention into every space he enters. He understands that students, families, alumni, and communities are often carrying more than what is visible, and that the right support can change the direction of someone’s life.

Through Smith-Perrot Consulting, Glenn brings that lived experience together with nearly a decade of work across higher education, mentorship, alumni engagement, student success, and community-based access.

At the heart of the work is a simple belief: people should not have to figure everything out alone. The goal is to build programs, relationships, and pathways that help people feel seen, supported, connected, and ready for what comes next.
